Andrew’s set list is truly refreshing, with lots of songs that while familiar, are not the ‘same old thing’ you’ve heard a million times. Andrew also loves to play ‘deep cuts’. What’s a deep cut? These are hidden gems on an album that may have gotten less radio play, but true fans of the artist really love.

From drumming in New York City to scaling sheer cliffs in the White Mountains to singing and playing guitar for people, read about Andrew’s journey.
Born in NYC, Andrew grew up on Long Island in the shadow of the big city. For as long as he can remember, Andrew loved music, melody and singing. At the age of 10 he started playing the drums, studying with Jack Falco at Massapequa Music. Next came school bands and garage bands (actually basement bands). In his late teens, Andrew began studying at the world renown LIDC (Long Island Drum Center), taking lessons and attending clinics with the likes of Jim Chapin, Al Miller, Dom Famularo, Liberty DeVitto and others. Andrew also began working with various vocal coaches in the NYC area.
By his early twenties, Andrew yearned to get out of the city. Newly married, he heard the call of the White Mountains where he and his wife Julianne moved and have lived for over 30 years. Andrew worked as a professional rock and ice climbing guide, taking hundreds of people climbing on the granite cliffs and frozen waterfalls of the White Mountains.
Andrew went on to form a jazz band, the Hobbs Street Quartet as well as many other garage bands. Although drums and percussion are in his blood, it was Andrew’s desire to share his love of melody and vocals with others that led him to begin playing guitar. Largely self taught, Andrew credits online guitar teacher Justin Sandercoe for helping bring his guitar playing to the next level.
As a musician Andrew combines a finely trained ear for rhythm and melody with heartfelt vocals and guitar in a way that touches audiences. Andrew’s style encompasses an eclectic mix of folk, rock, pop, country, singer songwriter, soul and R&B.
